Shortly before their wedding day in 1987, Jay and Shari Kaser put up Shari’s grey Honda Prelude as collateral, took out a small business loan, and ventured into the business of residential painting. Just like that, Kaser Painting, Inc. was formed.
Kaser Painting grew quickly. It wasn’t long before Jay and Shari had assembled a team of painters, expanded into commercial painting, and moved the main office from their home to its current location at 3130 S 7th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Two and a half decades later, with Kaser Painting nearing the top of its game, Jay made the decision to expand the business into abrasive blasting and high performance liquid painting. The Kasers purchased the 10,000 square foot building adjacent to the main office and acquired new equipment, and Kaser Blasting & Coatings made its debut in 2005.
As Kaser Blasting & Coatings flourished, the industry moved toward powder coating in lieu of liquid paint. Never one to shy away from challenges, Jay embraced the shift, adding powder coating to Kaser’s repertoire in the summer of 2014. The Kasers expanded into the 12,000 square foot building next door to accommodate their growing business.
My name is Jase, and Jay and Shari are my parents. Growing up, I spent every summer vacation working for the family business. I was a Junior in college when the powder coating equipment first arrived at our new building in 2014. Naturally, I helped set up the new equipment, and got production up and running.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Spring of 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Even with various career options available to me in the field of Mechanical Engineering, my truest passion called me back to Kaser Blasting & Coatings.
Since joining the family business full-time, I’ve become the General Manager of Operations for the Blasting & Coatings division and continue to work as hands-on employee, intent on expanding the company further every single day.
My dad, Jay, has since shifted his full focus back to Kaser Painting, Inc. and continues to bolster the portion of the company that has been his passion project since 1987.
Today, Kaser Blasting & Coatings has grown to specialize in abrasive blasting, powder coating, and high performance liquid painting. We provide service throughout the Midwest, including Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri, and our customer base is diverse. We serve large fabrication companies that deliver parts by the truckload, as well as the individuals who bring in one piece at a time. No job is too big or too small.
Kaser Blasting & Coatings was literally built on the Kaser family name. Our goals have stayed consistent since 1987: we strive for unmatched quality, fast turnarounds, and endless capabilities. Kaser’s journey has been defined by the hard work and dedication of our team. We love our clients, our employees, and the city of Lincoln.
